About Us

Fr Dan Bowyer has served as Rector of Grace and St. George’s since February 2009. He came to Grace and St. George’s after serving as Assistant Curate at St. Jude’s, Brantford.

Dan has spent a good part of his life living in the London area, having grown up in Lambeth and having studied at Huron University College. Dan was ordained a Deacon in May 2006 and a Priest in November 2006.

In addition to serving the Church, Dan enjoys cheering on the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League and occasionally honing his Guitar Hero skills.

Mr. Alexander Cann is the Organist and Music Director at both Grace Church and St. George’s. He holds a Master’s degree in choral conducting, and is currently studying Education at the University of Western Ontario.

Alex has considerable experience as a choral conductor, having directed adult, youth, and children’s choirs, in a wide variety of musical repertoire, including everything from opera to popular music. He is an accomplished pianist and organist (and also plays a variety of other instruments from time to time).

In addition to his considerable talents as a musician and conductor, he is a gifted teacher, with a commitment to helping choirs (and congregations!) learn and grow, as well as ensuring that our worship is always enriched by beautiful music.
